I was doing some gardening for ministry with one of my squad leaders the other day and we were just chatting about life. Then, he suddenly stopped tilling and said, “We’re doing it, Em!” We realized that if Jesus came back to earth at this very moment and descended into the garden, we’d being doing exactly what He called us to do. HOW EXCITING IS THAT?

So God didn’t exactly write in the Bible that it is my purpose to do gardening…but He called me to give my life to Him and follow His word. I love looking at scripture and seeing that Jesus called me to do these things and I AM DOING THEM! This is literally what I was made for!

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Ephesians 4:1-3 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

Matthew 9:37-38 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

PICS OF ME DOING THE THING

Danny and I “gardening” for our ministry host (this is actually a picture of us fixing something that we broke hahaha)

I got my hands dirty with some construction to help build a home for a missionary here! (now I can set rebar like it’s nobody’s business)

The Gypsy villages here are isolated from the rest of society and we got to play with kiddos and love on them!

Our new friends that we met while doing street evangelism took us on a picnic!

We got to hear the stories of widows, pray for them, share the gospel, AND give them free glasses! (This is my friend Kat and I trying on some hip reading glasses!!)

We passed out New Testament Bibles to multiple cities and villages around Romania!
